Just back from a wee climbing trip.

Due to poor conditions we decided to put two bolts in Rib tickler E3* on the lower pitch.

Sorry if this offends anyone.

Cool. Will you be going back to add a lower-off and what length clip-stick will I need to work this?

Isn't Rib Tickler E2?

Anyhow, good effort, I'm pleased someone had the balls to bolt this, I might even give it a go now.

Freya next?

Highball or DWS?

In reply to Tim Chappell:

to be honest, i'm fed up with all the controversy about bolting, so this spring, it has been decided that Scotland will happily fall in line with European bolting policy. This will allow people like myself to bolt hard trad lines to make them safer and more accessible to the masses. Thankfully due to there being no legal requirement (only ethical) to seek permission from anybody regarding the right to bolt.

Sport hence the bolts?

its was decided at our last AGM held at the lodge that it would be the safest option after a recent spate of climbing accidents.

So 'font' and 'French' are the same system then? You obvioulsly know your stuff, maybe get one of those bolt guns like they had on a Cliffhanger?

It's early days of course, but contender for "Crappyest and most boring troll 2014".
