Just wondering how the indoor bouldering in Sheffield compares to the Depot in Nottingham. Since the Depot opened I have only been going there due to it's proximity to my home. Is it worth the time and petrol to go to Sheffield?

It's worth a trip to the Climbing Works to check it out for yourself.

Personally I wouldn't bother with any of the other walls for bouldering only, unless you're strong enough to get the most out of the Wave at the Foundry.

Have you tried the Climbing Station at Loughborough http://www.theclimbingstation.com/

Less petrol than to Sheffield, more variety of wall angles (ie less steep) than the Depot, and I've just noticed they have a free open day on Sunday 19th...

(you might have to pretend to be a beginner though...)

Unless you are rich save the Climbing Works for a wash out day in the peak district or a car-full team visit. You have two high quality bouldering venues in Nottingham and free outdoor venues like the NU park wall and Trent Bridge.
