Hi, happy new year, first post this year.

I am planning on going to North-Norway (Tromsö) in April for some hill playing: snowshoes, some snowy gullies, nothing serious. Practicing self-arrest and getting the rust from the walking axes.

I think I might be better off with crampons when it´s all getting iced over etc.

I have Hanwag sturdy walking boots, grade C, i.e. partly suitable for crampons. What sort of crampons I am looking at, guys? I have no clue, just that I heard ages ago there are crampons for these softer boots. Saw some Grivel 2F on ebay and alike, but alls seems heavy armour to me.

What you reckon?

Thanks folks!

In reply to Chris33:
Grivel Monte Rosa would fit the bill perfectly, extra 10% of at GO Outdoors this weekend with SALE10 voucher code

BARGAIN for grivel crampons (they say North Ridge on the strap, but Grivel on the crampon and the box!)

I've used these with Meindl Burmas and they were perfect.
