I was thinking while on my fingerboard - what are peoples ways of dealing with the climbing exposure? I know some people who are a bit nervous of heights but when they are climbing its fine? Whether its because they have a rope attached to them or what - I dont know, or are they just focusing on the climb instead of anything around them? Also what are people's methods on "there climbing head"

Any ideas/ thoughts would be good?

Indoor leading helps, especially on long walls, but I have found that there is really no substitute for actually getting out on rock.

Yeah and frequently too. I find I can develop a strong leading mind set...and lose it of I don't use. I think it was Dave Macleod who said it's like a muscle. If it's not used it will get weaker.

I find getting on something too hard for me is a good way to develop. Pick a very safe route and fall off it ...assuming you can place gear safely!
