Costa Blanca Climbing - where is everyone?

Not just Brits avoiding the weather, where are the locals? Calpe town itself is pretty well deserted and we just spent Saturday and Sunday climbing, only running into 3 other teams in 2 days.
I'm not complaining about having crags to ourselves and it's warm and sunny, but is there something going on that we don't know about?

In reply to paul_in_cumbria: I'll be there a week tomorrow.

What's the weather like?

In reply to John Ww: I wasn't too concerned, I knew it'd be a whole lot better than Bradford. Although I'm not sleeping in a tent here!

In reply to paul_in_cumbria:

I've been out in February before and it is always pretty deserted. It will be busy in a couple of week's time at school half term.

Great weather, dry and averaging 18 degrees in the daytime, perfect temperature for climbing. Dropping quite cold at night because of lack of cloud cover, so a chilly 4 degrees.
