We are keen to get out and do some grade 1 gully stuff tomorrow, as it looks like the best forecast of the week. However, best of the week isn't saying much!! Most grade 1 gullies seem to lie in the high avalanche risk zones at the moment, can anyone recommend something decent and south facing? East would be preferable to west, but will take any suggestions really.

Want to narrow down your location or area that you're willing to travel to?

Go for a classic mountaineering day out on a ridge, as they'll be safer than the gullies at the moment.

We're in Scotland, based in Stirling. I sometimes forget that places below the border get winter! Would rather go to the East Highlands than the West but not necessarily fixed to that.

Fiacaill Ridge, the East Ridge of Beinn Chaorainn or the Stuic could be good options.
