Great start to the Olympics this morning, didn't think I'd get into it that much, but loved the slopestyle. Brit guys did us proud and were really chuffed to just be competing in the final.
Nice to see a bit of cameraderie amongst all the competitors.

Jenny Jones bronze medal just now.

Apparently the first Briton to win a medal in a snow based event.

Wow if so, is it so?
In reply to Siward:

officially, yes.

I enjoyed the privelege of a week snowboarding with Jenny at a freestyle clinic in Les Deux Alpes 10 years ago exactly. Then, she was just a surfer girl with a lot of talent. But if also then you had seen her twist, turn and tumble down a normal piste run you would understand the true meaning of the term "whirling dervish". Some of her skills at close quarters are unbelievable. I was weeping tears of joy at her achievement. Go Jenny!!

I haven't had time to watch any yet. Is slopestyle the 4 competitor one that they did over a short undulating course in the last Olympics? If not , when is that one on and what is it called please?

No, that is boardercross.
