Considering the ridge on Friday. Anyone been there this week, know what the road up to the car park is like?

Think you will be lucky to get up the road. A82 now closed at Bridge of Orchy and a lot more snow forecast for tomorrow afternoon. Tarmachan is doable from Glen Lochay as an alternative although a lot longer. Serious amounts of snow around on the hills. I Was on Ben Starav yesterday - haven't seen so much snow on the top 400 metres in years. Some cornices had overhangs of up to 10 feet. Slow going in places and a wary tread needed in whiteout on the NE ridge

Was up there today, road was ok up to the car park, little bit of snow but doesn't take masses to make the road inpassable. Soft snow drifts made the going pretty hard work in places, particularly along the ridge.

Was up there on Sunday, lots of soft snow getting up there (clockwise this time). Turned back on Beinn nan Eachan (spelling?) as we couldn't see or stand up! Met two MR on their way up (on snow shoes) as we came back down. They were going to revisit the sites of 2 avalanches on the Saturday. They said a guy got cought twice in them on the ridge!
