Dissected : The Incredible Human Hand was definitely worth a watch if you want to see all those tendons you've been stretching, straining and generally punishing!

Features a few familiar faces climbing at Stanage and beyond too. Available on iPlayer shortly -

Anyone else catch it? Any thoughts?

Yep just caught up on it now. Loved the interlinking tendons to the tips. Climbing bit whilst nice for us, was a bit too much.

I expected the dissection would focus on other bits and their uses - ie the skin and the bones - they ignored those bits
Looking forward to the foot next week tho!

I caught a few mins of this when they were pulling the tendons from the wrist.

Definitely going to watch it on replay as you've mentioned it had climbing in it and it did seem very interesting (if slightly squirmy ha)

Definitely quite gross, the thumb cutting bit reminded me of the eye slice in Un Chien Andalou - made me squirm a lot!

I always thought climbing was about static grip, so the squeeze strength meter isn't really that good an indicator of climbing finger strength. Happy to be corrected on that.
