When I click on the mail "icon" on my Windows 8 start page it doesn't open. Anyone know why/help?

Have you made any recent changes to you system?

Have you fully updated the device? do this through the charms...right hand pop up stuff, in the charms select Settings->Updates->Search for updates...

try that first.

Ignore the built in mail app, they just serve to bother everyone on your address book when you inevitably end up with malware on the machine.

Just use your browser to get your mail from whatever website you have your account with.
