Has anyone ever had a problem with the battery in a d200 or 300 getting stuck and not popping out when the door is opened.
All has been fine untill this week and now they won't slide out unless I bang the top of the body and then pull with pliers. I've really no idea what has caused this.
Just been skiing for a week but can't see any thing in the battery compartment to cause this.
Could changes in temp have caused it? I really can't see how this has happened.

The battery may have developed a fault or if it is happening with more than one battery and you are charging them with the same charger it may be the charger itself which is the problem. If the charge rate is too high it may cause the battery to overheat and expand. I suggest trying an original Nikon battery from another source.
I've had this on cameras and phones with aftermarket batteries.
My favourite solution is to use sellotape to create a tag so you can pull the battery out easier next time. If its really stiff just get a new battery. 7 dayshop are very good for third party batteries.
