Canon G15 Flash Needs Repair

Just been given a G15, that was supposedly not working at all due to water ingress. I charged the battery, chucked a card in it and switched it on. Everything works beautifully (a result), except the flash. Whenever you pop the flash up and try to take a picture, the camera says the flash isn't ready/charging (symbol flashing).

Would it be worth getting it repaired? Is it possible to buy spares? Or am I just better testing the hot shoe and purchasing an external flash instead?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Cheers Adam

In reply to butteredfrog:

Get a cheapo hotshoe flash. .

It will be cheaper and way better than a repair.

You'll only use it indoors, so can just leave it at home when you head for the hills.

Thanks Dan, That's what I thought, don't know how long it will continue to work for, apparently it was dropped in the sea.
