Last year I started a post on here, asking for advice about climbing Snake Dike on Half Dome.

It's taken a while but we finally have a video of the route.

We decided to do the route in a day, starting and finishing in Yosemite Valley. The day before the climb was a rest day so we walked up to Nevada Falls and towards the Lost Lake. As well as getting some great photos, this saved us time route finding for the early start the next day.

I'd definitely recommend this route, and to do it in a day.

Does anyone not do it in a day? I hadn't thought you could bivi en route even if you wanted to.

We saw a few people biving out. We also know of people that camped at Little Yosemite camping ground to shorten the approach.

Excellent, looks like a great route. Did you find it particularly difficult for the grade? Would like to do this one day. Thanks for sharing the vid.

Thanks, I highly recommend the route. Thought it was right for the grade but being comfortable at this grade is needed with the run outs that it has.
