A completely pointless thread about what routes whould be like if we flipped them upside down.
Cenataph corner - about the same? P1 of the gates would be about the same but P2 would be a horror I reckon. Left wall, a grade or 2 harder? Gogarth would be a chossy load of vdiffs. Walking along the grit would be interesting, Hargreaves would be a plumb line of unrelenting steepness, bond street about the same or slightly easier? Great Portland and north roads would become hard classics, slightly overhanging all the way, the Mall about the same? The master edge about the same I reckon too, still gear at mid height as well. everything at horseshoe would be the same (shit)Christmas Crack would go a very steep HVS maybe? and the left unconc easier at HS ish?
Purists - don't panic, I'm not actually going to turn your crags upside down, this is just for fun...

Cenotaph corner would have the crux 3 metres and an awkward but 3/4 of the way up!

Thinks

What exactly do you mean by upside down - angles reversed too?

What do you mean - it's already E12, isn't it?!

Seriously though, with flipped crags, I might finally get up Quietus, and Tramgo.

Do you think London road would go about the same? Same for the file?

In reply to wilkie14c:

Of course some routes would be lost forever, ruined by their upsidedownness - FBD, Sloth and the like but new classics from the most unexpected routes would emerge
