/ Edinburgh Restaurant Recommendation
Staying in Edinburgh tomorrow night with a work colleague and looking for a decent place to eat. Preferably central and not Indian (never a good idea before an early morning meeting). Budget up to £80-90 for two with wine.
shame you said not indian because if you ve not eaten at mother india in glasgow or edinburgh you are missing a treat, cant say i ever had any of the negative after affects normally associated with cheap and cheerfull from eating there.
reading those main courses makes me want to drive there right now, unfortunately its 100 miles.
This does look very good but the 'no Indian food' rule is the work of my colleague. She's made it quite clear no spiciness is allowed. Thanks.
Angels With Bagpipes is pretty good, but at the top end of your budget.
So many to choose from but it does depend on where your staying for travel, what your really looking for in type of venue and type of food. For starters all central within you price range:
http://www.thewitchery.com (if you can get a booking at short notice)
http://www.davidbann.com (vegetarian - even if your not a vegetarian and if you can book at short notice).
Are you sure she was referring to the food .
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Plenty to go at here. Cheers
Nonnas, Church Hill. Italian, as good as it gets.
Stac Polly, St Mary's Street.
Balmoral hotel !!
One of my favourite and very well situated is the grain store on Victoria street.
So, where did you go?
