28 years since the original...fook me, that hit me for six anyway, this old git reckons it will probably be rubbish, but brilliant if they stick with the AOR soundtrack ,amazing footage of flying and Nimitz flightdeck + ray ban aviators.

Great film .Timeless.

A bit like Heat (1995) ,which I watched the other night.

Ashamed to admit ,my Now dead cycling iPod had its share of Top Gun tracks.

Didn't seek them out one by one ,part of some American compilation.

Latterly ,Kenny Loggins had worn a bit thin.

Heat looks like it was filmed last week.

It's sharp,crystal clear and full of 'timeless' energy.

The shoot out scene after the heist is awesome.an assault on the senses.

One of my favourite films! Problem is how will they top the soundtrack - it was 80's classic music (that I still run to now) I don't think a replica volleyball scene with dizzy rascal in the background will have the same GRR to it.

Hope they keep the homosexual undertone haha!

Having been born in the 80's I grew up with top gun, and i'd be lying if i said it didn't have an influence in me wanting to be an RAF pilot…. not in a gay way though!

Top Gun is amazing. For something so outwardly macho, alpha-male, ra-ra guns/planes and military, to have turned it in to the most homosexual film this side of gay porn is quite an acheivement. All right under the noses of the military and seemingly the films very creators.
