I've a lens for auction on ebay. A question from a bidder has made me realise it is the MkI version, not the Mk2 as described.

As there are less than 12hrs to go, I cannot change the title or description.

What is the best thing to do? The two versions are almost identical (canon 18-55 IS)

Perhaps email the winner before posting it, making sure they're happy and fully in the picture. If they're not, refund them if necessary and re list the item.

Can you not include the question with a published answer on the page?

I'd suggest this too

I had exactly this problem a while ago. If you can post the question to the listing do that. Either way you will need to contact the winner to verify that they still want it. If not refund and relist, I don't think you'll lose anything this way.

If the buyer refuses the item you could offer a discount or offer it as a second chance offer to the second-highest bidder.

Photo gear is a bit of a nightmare on ebay. There are so many letters in the name of your average lens and with ebay's 'helpful' suggestions of what your item is, it's easy to list incorrectly.
