TBF, the thread title Relevant to UKC today is a tad ambiguous.

Whereas Google doodle today hits the nail on the head. I opened this thread but let the 'other' one pass me by.

Yep. I read the other one and thought that Gordon was making the point that loads of people on UKC were asking questions that could easily be answered by Googling.

True. I'd seen Gordon's thread already so when this (and the other similar thread) appeared I was ready to pounce and pummel the unfortunate OP in to embarrassment for not also having read it.

I thought the term 'relevant today' would incline people to find out what it was about. Most days when I use Google I click on the logo to see what it's referring to. Always interesting.

Seems to be only on Google.co.uk. My default is Google.fr & at first I couldn't understand what this thread was about.
