Any suggestions?
Any shops around Brecon. Don't know the area and looking for some technical shoes.

Also- best bouldering areas?

I am In the area for 4 days and may be dry fingers crossed.

Many thanks

there's a cotswold in town... which may explain why crickhowell adventure seems to be for sale (has closed?). there's probably still a crickhowell adventure in, well, crickhowell.

Ok. Remember crickhowell from when I was a kid.

Do you know if Cotswold sell shoes? One near me doesn't scraps of gear but that's all

Not exactly the area you were asking about, but thoroughly recommend Banana Fingers. Give them a call and you can go in and try every shoe in the shop and ask every daft question you want; I did! (Bought a pair as well). Turned out the type of shoes I thought I wanted simply felt awful. I think for shoes you make the effort to get them right.

i think theres a cotswolds up the brecon area not 100% sure where, but the nearest bouldering is at Dinas Rock

Up and Under in Cardiff. It's about a 45 min - 1 hour drive.

Bouldering in South Wales is pretty poor generally. There's some small valleys sandstone crags nearish Brecon. Details here:

You can get climbing shoes in both Crickhowell adventure (brecon) and cotswolds. They're about 200 yards apart at top end of town. Cotswolds has bigger selection but Crickhowell has quite a few on sale.

Nearest bouldering is buckland hill near bwlch. Search on ukc crag list for location. Or llangorse ropes centre indoors if it's wet. Otherwise Huntsham near symonds yat, where as someone else already posted you can drop into banana fingers.

Up and Under are your best bet for shoes in the South Wales area as mattrm mentioned..
It's probably worth a visit to Dinas and maybe Goitre Coed Rocks.. depending on what grades you want to get on.
