So I'm spending the day working in Monmouth, and as I'm here I might try and sneak in a couple of routes when I finish work. Only problem is I don't have a guidebook with me. My plan is to pop out into town during my lunch break and attempt to hunt down whatever I can get my hands on. The Internet doesn't seem to be helping me out so I was wondering if you guys had any tips. Thanks!

The nearest actual climbing shop to monmouth is bananafingers probably? Great shop run by great guys, but might be worth giving them a ring to make sure someone will be in. If I wasnt busy tonight I would come down and climb with you!

Climbers club has a downloadable sample for the Hollow Rock area at Symonds Yat which might well have enough info if you're only looking to do a couple of routes - on this page:
