My next trip to Scotland is going to be to the Cairngorms National Park. This will be my first visit. If anybody can offer any advice on best places to stay (I am planning to do some wild camps too) and more importantly great walks then that would be great.

There's an excellent place at NO040936. Probably the finest place I have ever camped at. The evening I slept there was full of midges, though.

It's quite popular place to rest. I have seen quite few tents that night, maybe up to 7 or so. But that place is rather wide, so it's quiet.

A two or three day walk along the Lairig Gruh from Aveimore to Braemar, wild camping one night and staying at the Coror Bothy another is probably one of the nicest walks you can do. You can even throw in a couple of munros at the same time (Braeriach etc). Maybe go and take a look at the Challamain gap too.
