Ardennes holiday

Me and the girlfriend are looking for somewhere nice to go on holiday in the Ardennes area of southern Belgium in early september. Somewhere with forests, hills, pretty towns, castles and maybe a show cave or two. We might not have a car. Does anybody know the area and have any recomendations? I was thinking of somewhere round Hans Sur Lesse but anywhere would do.
