Hi

we are buying a leaving present for a girl who rows.

Are there any rowers who could suggest a suitable sensible present, clothing - technology - equipment

Thanks in advance!

she shouldn't need an uplift bra

not muuch kit needed for rowers; how about a metronome

A set of ear plugs for the person she rows with?

How old is she?
What sorts of things does she like, besides rowing?
What relationship do you have with her?
How much is your budget?
When do you have to get it by?

A Nice sun visor thing Like Tennis players wear?

They seem popular with the Rowers we share a boathouse with. You could get her moniker or club name Embroidered on it.

And Wellies, they are big on Wellies.

'Oarswoman' not Rower
In reply to richardhopton:

Depends how much you want to spend!

1. pogies £16 gloves you can push an oar into
http://godfrey.co.uk/club/godfreyrowing/rowing-pogies

2. boat seat pad £18 and a lifesaver http://godfrey.co.uk/club/godfreyrowing/womens-seatgrip

3. sealskin/waterproof socks - various kinds

4. nice wellies (Hunters obviously the best!)

5. agree on sports massage/pilates/chiropractor vouchers etc - backs usually need a lot of fixing

6. Heart rate monitor and watch?

7. If we're talking in the £100s and she's really keen, then look at a Nielsen Kellerman strokecoach or speedcoach

There is rowing jewelery though in my opinion that is too keen.

I will second the suggestion of wellie boots.

I used to row and Mrs Cu still does. All the girls at the club seemed to be engaged in an arms race as to who could come up with the most colourful boots! (Sadly this also served the purpose of making your boots very identifiable to you and stop theft of said boots)

Wellies; sunglasses; rower's jacket with a tail long enough to sit on; floaty, waterproof thing for keys/phone.

Maybe if she is wearing sports gear a lot of the time she likes to feel sexy once in a while so how about some tasteful lingerie?
