I am thinking of buying this. Could I add in an solid state drive?

In reply to Saor Alba:

I would suspect you can, but it really depends on whether the case has the expansion slots you'd need, and the description doesn't give that info

But of a hijack but you could pro get more for your money if your not fussed about size.

This has a faster hdd, cpu and the ram will be faster, plus you can have win 7 if you want. There will also be space for a ssd.

In reply to Saor Alba:

dont think so as it appears to be a small case (8 litre space saving design)

With a name like yours .. Get a 'Mac'...

In reply to dek:

Don't get a mac, you'll pay twice the price for half the specs.

Like most of the junk pcworld sell you're getting ripped off with this tower. Plus you'll end up with so much shitware installed it'll be slow right off the bat, plus windows8. Go with itsThere's suggestion, though I'd get rid of the security package they install for something that doesn't suck.

If you intend to stream any kind of movies on it (or do any kind of gaming) make sure you add a graphics card to the build.

Thanks all for the info. I don't want a massive box sitting on my desk hence my interest in mini towers. I have a work laptop so don't need one of them either.

The Mesh computer you linked to looks massive on first glance. Any other mini towers about?

In reply to Saor Alba:

Like this, it's a bit bigger than the Packard bell

Only worth it if you upgrade the CPU to the a10-7700k if you plan on getting a ssd. As ex0 said get rid of the virus software. That case will take loads of hdd

I actually got this compute a few weeks back. As you said it is very small, and would easily fit on any desk. Its nice, runs fast, and doesn't lag e.t.c. I'm running 8.1 on it and it works fine. Would really reccomend

Do you know if you can add an SSD to it?

In reply to Saor Alba: as long as there is a spare sata connection on the motherboard then I suspect an ssd drive would fit. You do not need another expansion slot.
