As per the topic title.

I need to get a 5kg box to Australia, insured value £500.

I looked at Parcelforce, but the price suggests that they buy it a Business Class ticket. Can anyone suggest a cheaper & reliable alternative?

Also, the recipient has given me home & PO Box options for delivery, and would prefer it to go to his PO Box. Any clues on what the form is on courier deliveries to a PO Box?

I use DHL for my shipments to Australia (from Germany), 5kg would cost you £34.32 with €500 insurance (you can have extra). Most of the others charge for the customs papers and more anyway, BUT it does depend if they ship by air or surface so expect 6 to 8 weeks, air is another 20 notes or so.
