Hi,

I led my first trad routes last weekend.
Great fun!

I would like to get some tuition so I can really start on the right foot.

Can any one recommend an instructor or course?

I did my learn to lead with Wet and High Adventures in Devon, it was actually delivered by Lou from Vixon Climbing, she was really good and I had a great weekend.

I don't think you need a specific course, but time with a good instructor can be invaluable. When I first started leading a few friends got together and we hired an instructor for the day and it was great.

Alternatively, if you've got friends that climb already just get out with them. You'll soon pick it up.

She is a great instructor as well as a coach, she coaches some of the White Spider youth that all placed in the top ten in each of their age groups.

Plas Y Brenin should have something to meet your needs, loads of different courses on offer and in my experience great instructors and very reasonable prices.
