Title says it all. Apple have also killed iPhoto.

The replacement for both will be called Photo and leans more towards iPhoto than Aperture in features.

Have been looking at Lightroom but its Cloud ONLY and £10/month.... which is bollocks.

So anyone have any recommendations for an Aperture replacement?

Your link only shows a link to the CC. Can find nothing concrete on either web or Adobe.com

Really odd, shows up the opportunity to add it to the cart for £57.64 here.

If you're shooting Raw only then Capture One is a great alternative, used by many pro's.

You can get a Lightroom disc (5 is the latest version) from somewhere like Amazon.

Be careful that you get the full version and not an upgrade.

Dark table is great, I've been using it on Linux for years but it's probably a step back if you're used to a professional package.

I rediscovered Lightzone earlier this year. Its not got the DAM features of Lightroom, but the editing features are pretty good. I'd say definately worth a look.

There still hasn't been any full detail of the Photo package other than it will be able to take in your Aperture libraries and utilise 3rd part apps (I use Silver eFex a lot, would be surprised if there isn't NIK compatibility). At the moment Aperture still works so I'll be sitting there until I can see what Photo does (which will be bundled free with Yosemite) before investing time and money on Lightroom. It may be I go down the route of handing off to Iridient for my RAW processing from Photo, will decide in due course but I'm not panicing yet.
