Bolt in Coniston Scramble

Yet more inappropriate bolting. The other week I came across a bolt at about 15 feet in the Grade 3 scramble Simon's Nick Ridge (this is route no. 51 in Brian Evans' Lakes South guide; Cicerone). Just to be clear, this bolt is clearly meant to be a runner rather than an abseil point (some of which are present to descend the adjacent cleft and mines).

This is natural rock, not a quarry. What's going on?

Option A: post it up on the internet with an outraged tone of voice. Cue lots of hysterical shouting.

Option B: someone quietly takes it out.

I'd go for option B, myself.

I'm more bemused than outraged. I'm not likely to go back anytime soon, otherwise option B would appeal.
