Just arrived to an unforecast downpour...is it worth waiting or better heading bristol way? thanks!

It's pretty good, North Wall and Fly Wall in particular. Stay out of the shady corners and they'll drier the higher you get anyway.

Watch out for loose stuff after the rain.
