Off to France for three weeks on Monday on a mostly family based holiday, but do have a pass to meet up with a mate to climb Mont Aiguille. As I am not currently a paid up BMC member I would need to join and then buy a policy which looks to be just over £80. I looked at Protectivity and they offer 3 levels of policy between £40 and £50 which have Mountain Rescue cover of £15000, £25000 and £50000. I'm sure there are plenty more companies that could offer insurance, but I find these things a bit of a mind field.

Can anyone recommend a policy or advise on which to avoid?

Thanks in advance UKC!

In reply to Baron Weasel: another vote for Austrian Alpine Club. And Mont Aiguille is a great day out!
