Good morning UKC,

Hoping someone can help.

I have just moved into a new house and the consumer board is located in a wooden cupboard that has a recessed lock.

The lock (a small circular hole) looks like it accepts a generic brass cylinder key with star cross-section.

I have seen this type of arrangement on museum cabinets and also used as deadbolt on some doors.

What is this type of lock and key called? I want to find a replacement key the previous owner has lost it.

Thanks in advance!
