Flickr users...

Now this may have been done/suggeted before but, why don't we have a thread whereby Flickr users could post the URL to their Flickr site?
I imagine it'd be a good way for members of this forum to have a look at each others' collections.

Or maybe there's a reason why this hasn't been done before?

A few years ago we had a UKC flickr group and did a monthly photo challenge, with the winner setting the next theme each time. It gradually petered out after a while but it was a good creative stimulus.

I was thinking it might sort of conflict with the gallery here on UKC/UKH.

I could spend ages just clicking on other peoples' photo sites and it would be easier than doing searches within Flickr.

We didn't use the name 'UKC' in the flickr group for that reason. It was called The Climbers' Monthly Photo Competition (I think)

My rate of posting has dropped off quite a bit over the past year; a combination of too much shoddy weather and a conscious effort to raise the quality bar.

"Lower Good Greave" and "Cascade" are my most recent shots from a long-term book project I started a few years ago, partially as a result of a conversation I had with Alyson of this parish.
