I'm using ImgBurn to create DVDs. However I've run into a particular problem. I put a disk into the DVD drive and it goes through the process until the event log says that the disk is being erased - presumably to clean off anything that might be on it prior to the actual burning - when the log shows % progress. It gets as far as 96% and then sticks there and I can hear the drive "whirring" intermittently.

I created about four DVDs last week without any problem. Can anyone help me with this please?

DVDs are notoriously not very good. It is not uncommon to get several in a row that won't burn properly. Try a new disc again.

Thanks. Somebody did suggest using a DVD-R instead of a DVD-RW
