Just seen this latest episode tonight. The first 2 episodes were good, but this was stunning. Its not often I well up, but this really got to me.

Have you been on the interactive movie on the the bbc website?
I can't post a link (can't get the page up at work) but googling "BBC Our World War Interactive Episode" should get you the page.

I think if you like the series you'll like this a lot. Having to make decisions engages you with the content, takes about 20 minutes to run through.

It's really good isn't it? I hated the modern music and filming to begin with (as someone else said in another post), but when the Manchester Pals joined up and they played Teenage Kicks, it was completely apt.

Haven't seen Episode 3 three yet, it'll be my Monday night treat when I get back from the weekend's exertions

I was the just the sam with the music initial but the choice of teenage kicks was spot on I thought and fitted really well... thought the characters in the second episode were played really well

Yes, and they didn't deal with the subject of the executions in the normal modern way of 'it was wrong, period', more put the arguments alongside the emotion. Excellent writing.

The last couple of minutes of episode 3 were heartbreaking.

The music and filming had a contempory feel of youth - they weren't the old men we remember.
