On Andriod phones you can get an app called Priority SMS that let's you specify a certain alert if a text contains a specified keyword. Colleagues in our MR team use it to notify themselves of callout texts.

I can't find anything similar for iphone. Has anyone ever heard of/used a solution.

I doubt there will be one. As far as I am aware Apple currently dont make SMS read available to third party apps.
