Hi Folks, my niece is coming up from the nancy south and i said I'd take her climbing.

I want somewhere easy in the peaks like windgather but with better anchors.

Any ideas? ps she is 13 and has never been outdoors.

cheers

Most of the anchors at Windaghther are fine. Just use the routes there that are. There is no better grit crag for kids. There are bits on other crags but break to break work on grits suits men sized climbers. Right side of Gullies Wall Baslow Edge is nice as is the bit at Stanage right of the Unconquerables. Also bits at Wharncliffe, especially Black Slab. If you want to boulder try the otherwise unlisted stuff at Burbage South boulders or Burbage North crag boulders covered in the Offwidth pages here:

Harborough (dolomitic limestone) is also worth a look but some belays there are not ideal either.
