Just looking at the website shows you have to buy credits to places bids. A bid might cost more an 1 credit. Bids seem to cost around 15p so if eBay is anything to go by it would get pretty expensive pretty quickly with no guarantee of anything in return. I could see people getting sucked into making more and more bids as the price got lower and lower which I suspect is what Madbid hopes.
