I tried the direct start of Agnostic's Arete, which is given VS 5a P1 in the Yorkshire Gritstone guide, IMHO HVS 5a P1/P2 as it is a clean fall zone but you could hit a ledge. Anyone else done it and have an opinion?

Sounds like the Yorkshire Grit sandbag is still alive and kicking. At least you didn't try to climb an HVS in the 1989 guide that was eventually regraded E4 6b!
