I've recently written a blog considering the oft strange and mysterious culture of route names in climbing, centralised around two recent experiences I've had with two very different routes - one of which being the incredible 'Desolation of Smaug' in the Dinorwig slate quarries.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you'd give it a read, and constructive criticism is more than welcome! I'm rather new to proper blogging, but I'm intending to continue to write in this style.

Hope you enjoy it!

P.S. Apologies for the shameless self promotion, but I'm keen to hear some opinions!
