Hi, I'm aware of the dry tooling venues in N Wales & the lakes, are there any others knocking around, ideally more central to South England that people know about?

Dover is probably your closest. unfortunately there are very few dry tooling venues in the whole of the UK. hopefully one day that will change when the die hard no tooling camp finnally realise that developing dry tooling crags doesnt encourage people to tool up exhisting rock routes, it does the exact opposite!

Dover's not really dry tooling. It's more like very strenuous ice climbing. The climbing at Saltdean is more like dry tooling in that you're using existing placements. Lots of routes fell down last winter but there's some good new ones and an small active scene.

There's a couple of dry tooling routes at Hedbury Quarry in the cave. Might be worth taking a look if you're in the area.

Can't think of anything else.

White Goods in North Wales
The works in Lake District
Newtyle Quarry Scotland
Masson Lees Peak District (only in designated routes)

Please be informed before you go out dry tooling. Make sure you do not go anywhere near establish rock climbs. UKC logbooks is a good start.
