Anyone know what the likely condition of Cheddar or Brean will be this weekend (15th Nov)? I know there have been some heavy downpours but does anyone know if Brean is likely to be runoff/seepage free or any sport at Cheddar that might have escaped the deluge?

In reply to JM:

Apart from one or two lines at brean it mostly dries very fast. Cheddar is a little more route dependent but for the most part seeps quite badly. I'm sure there will be climbable lines but would say on average brean is a much better bet.

Could be keen weekend after next - 22/23rd Nov?

You might be lucky and find that parts of Freaky Wall are dry.

There is nearly always something climbable in Cheddar. Take today - raining solidly for a day or more, rain stopped about 9 this morning and the sun came out. By 12 noon there were a couple of dry enough routes on The Wave. By 2 pm there were a few more.

Was at brean yesterday, it is bone dry on every route.

In reply to Marti999: Nice, thanks for all the replies guys. Just hope it won't be too busy on Saturday now. Give me a shout it you are around the weekend after Ally. Might come over to Brizzle for the weekend and climb there on Sunday.
