Great War - refreshing BBC programme

There has been so much in the media this year about The Great War that I almost felt like I was suffering from fatigue - great material but it was so difficult to follow it all. However last weekend I decided to watch a programme on BBC featuring Simon Armitage - a poet that I really admire. I was not at all disappointed - indeed I was refreshed by his programme. A calm, considered delivery of stories of ordinary people who proved to be extra-ordinary in the heat of conflict. His poems complimented them brilliantly. I heartily recommend the programme - BBC2 Culture Show - The Great War - An elegy.

I'll take a look at that. I've been a bit selective with my viewing of the WW1 programmes, so it is good to get a recommendation. Thanks.
