Hi does anybody know a good way of reproofing the outer gaiter of the scarpa phantom series boots ?
mines are starting to saturate with water rather than shed off the way they used which does equal wet feet after a long day out in slush/snow conditions. was thinking about trying some scotchguard spray rather than the usual wax for leather/ fabric boots.

Hi Davy Boy,

Nikwax will do the trick.

It's worth using the silicone t-zip lube on the zipper too.

cheers everyone will just use the wax i already have then once there dry.
will have a look see if i have any silicon lube in the garage i dont have the original scarpa stuff anymore.

In reply to davy_boy: Nikwax do a sponge-on Fabric and Leather proof as well as spray-on version of Tx Direct.
Grangers do a spray-on Universal Footwear proofer.
Any of them should do the trick.
