Cairngorm Adventure Guides 16 Dec 2014

Good climbing in Coire an Lochan today with firm snow, rimed up rocks and frozen turf. Ventilator, The Milky Way, Andromeda (?) and other routes on No. 2 & 3 buttresses were being climbed.
In Coire an t-Sneachda, Mess of Pottage and Aladdin's buttress looked less rimed up. Teams were seen climbing on Fiachall Buttress, Goat Track Gully, Fingers Ridge, Aladdin's Mirror Direct and could be heard on the Mess of Pottage.
Ice is forming in the corries and the snow is firm. Most of the gullies look quite lean.
Photos of the Northern Corries today are on our blog: http://www.cairngormadventureguides.co.uk/blog.html

In reply to Cairngorm Adventure Guides:

I have been out in the Cairngorms today. Rain at all levels but there is still lots to do if a refreeze arrives. There are a couple of photos and a full report on the climbnow.co.uk blog and facebook page.
