I'm heading up to grizedale tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knew what the larkig situation is over Christmas/new year. I know the visitor centre is closed so wasn't sure abou the parking.

Also, I understand that the charges are quite ridiculous? Are there alternative places available?

No idea about the centre but there are a few car parks around there that are free. We've parked at the Bogle Crag car park before then ridden Grizedale, and there's definitely at least another free one up the hill from the main visitors centre.

Bargain I'd say. I cant get that value in Newark town centre, and I know where I would rather be walking.
