Anyone been on the west face of Aonach Mor recently? Would appreciate a conditions update.

I was there today, on the right and lower side. Well frozen but much less ice than 10 days ago. It's a big face, depends on which bit you're interested in. I'm sure there will be some ice in the central section, but didn't see it.

Was on and around Golden Oldy on Sunday and it was in pretty good nick. Nice solid blocks and frozen turf where exposed, bits of useless snow and turf here and there but generally good!

Western Rib looked really good but bit of a thaw coming in over the next two days so will see how much is left for the proposed big freeze after New Years day.

Thanks all will head up to golden oldy tomorrow and see what it's like. Planned to get warmer so fingers crossed it's achievable.
