How resiliant are you? There are good winter month climbing venues and Stanage isn't one of them, even on a good forecast (which it isn't)

Stanage was absolutely mint today. Had a great boulder, connies felt sick. Also looked like all the routes were totally dry

Get on it

Did you climb in your T-shirt or just boulder?

>connies felt sick.

What does that mean?

In reply to aln:

That a feature he knows as the connies had good friction.

In reply to Timmd:

Translation. Connies (temps and friction for climbing hard) were excellent (sick).

I had also heard that it was a bit damp, routes were dripping, and it was cold. Further south (Froggatt /cratcliffe) recommended.

In reply to Dan Arkle:

Alternative translation: quite a few sheltered plantation boulder problems were in good nick if you could stand the cold and he is telling porkies about the majority of the routes. The other channel does the best condidtions reporting on their eastern edges thread. My suggestion for routes would have been Rivelin and sure enough Dave reported the conditions for the routes that dont weep were good.
