Sorry again that your day was spoiled. I did enjoy our brief chat and was frequently distracted by the memory of your pale blue eyes (cue music) throughout the afternoon. Should you be unattached and interested in continuing our conversation, I would be delighted to hear from you. If not, good luck with your ML. Have a lovely life.

Thanks chaps. Oh, bloody pathos!

In reply to petenebo:

Yes, what a lovely, lovely romantic post. Cue 'Goodbye Mr Chips,' 'Brief Encounter', 'Casablanca', etc, etc.

That broken crampon... could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship... and maybe more...

Good luck Pete! Give the crooked sheepdog a big hug from me.

Mick

Since this post is so sweet, I'm giving it a bump

In reply to petenebo:
This post definitely has an "ahhh" factor - unusual for UKC.

"Broken crampon lady" and "crooked sheepdog man"

Please keeps us updated?

If no luck try the Times Personal Column....

In reply to Trangia:

I want the film rights.
Hugh Grant and Tilda Swinton I think (I cant see Julia Roberts in crampons, but I reckon Tilda would rock it)

UKC's newest couple?

In reply to petenebo:

Sadly, 'she' was a docker from Grimsby in drag, dressed up as a dare with his mates and too embarrassed to admit it.

Sorry, there was no way to let you down gently. There again:

'Nobody's perfect.'

In reply to petenebo:

bump
OP petenebo 09 Feb 2015
In reply to Rob Exile Ward:

Thanks to all for your kind wishes (yes, even you Rob)

Pebbles: please take care with casting. Tilda's perfect but Hugh flippin' Grant!? Strikes me as rather insipid. Picture me as an Ex Mancunian version of Rab C.

And Rob:

Don't care..... I've always aspired to be tolerant and broad minded. Isn't compromise an essential part of any successful relationship?

Cheers
Pete

Can we compromise on Peter Capaldi in a stained string vest?

Ooo good luck.

Be careful what you wish for; Broken Crampon Lady's husband might pay a visit to Crooked Sheepdog Man and try to insert the broken crampon where the sun don't shine.

Bump. And lots of luck.

(PS Wot's a 'crooked sheepdog'? Does it cheat at poker or something?)

Thanks for your reply - and sorry for my joke - I didn't know she had been injured of course - you took it well - it's great to hear she's still going strong and can make it up to Llyn Idwal.

And once again, lots of luck with 'Broken crampon lady'! I hope she replies to you!

On a most likely unrelated note, I saw a fella hand in a lost, single crampon to the Ogwen Cottage cafe on Saturday.

I think it's time to think more laterally about finding broken crampon Lady, how about follow up of ML connection?

Did she give any indication were she would be doing this? plas-y-Bren or similar.
