ski touring in the Peaks.
Given the recent fantastic snow dumps in the Peak District . I came across two young guys skiing down Mam Tor. They had climbed "Central Gully" and whisked off down Mam Tor.
Just recent, I spoke to one of the blokes and he told me he'd been slushing up kinder Scout ;and skied down to the Pub !!
In my humbly opinion. When the conditions are right,there appears to be a great potential for snow shoeing and ski touring in the Peaks. In fact I came across two couples embarking on a ski tour from the Car and Fiddle (near Buxton).
