Hi all,
I'm visiting the Mull of Kintyre for a week in April, and want to find a local guide. Sea cliff, trad preferred. I'm drawing a blank on the usual sources though.
Does anyone have any good recommendations?
Thanks!
If you mean a local guide as against guidebook, there probably aren't any. But if it's more than one day, you might persuade one to come across the ferry from Ardrossan (assuming you have a car). The area will be in the next Highland Outcrops, but not out for another year. I'd think about sending you the section if you checked some things for me.
Not a lot of climbing instructors operating in that area, the nearest I can think of is Andy Spink from Hebridean Pursuits http://www.hebrideanpursuits.co.uk/ who might consider coming down from Oban. Nice guy, great instructor, highly recommended.
